    ⌥Tab opens it. Reply by keyboard or dictation, ⌥Enter sends it to that exact chat, ⌥Tab again and you're back.

  • Light on your machine. A native Rust app, not Electron or a browser in disguise. It's designed to stay under 200 MB of memory, even with several agents running and complex conversations on screen, so your game keeps the resources.
  • Your chats stay on your Mac. Plai reads your agents locally and sends replies through each app's own connection.
  • Reads like the real chat. Markdown, code, tables, images and Mermaid diagrams render properly.
  • Your dictation tool. Superwhisper today; Apple on-device speech and Wispr Flow are being verified. No audio is uploaded.

Regular Claude chats aren't supported, and approving an agent's tool permissions from the HUD isn't available yet. Before the beta opens we'll publish the tested app versions and known limitations.

The first beta is for macOS. We admit testers in small batches, drawn at random from eligible sign-ups and balanced across agents. Windows joins only if it passes our tests for staying on top of fullscreen games without injecting anything into them; Linux depends on demand.

Questions

Does Plai send my conversations anywhere?

No. Plai reads your agents' status and chats on your Mac and sends replies straight to the agent app. Your chats, prompts, agent output and audio are never collected. Signing in for the beta sends only your email address.

What data do you collect?

For the waitlist: your email and any optional answers you give. In the beta app, content-free usage counters are off by default; if you switch them on, Plai uploads things like app version, which agents it saw and how many replies were delivered, at most once a day. The exact list is in our privacy notice.

Which platforms does it run on?

macOS first. Windows joins only if it passes our tests for staying on top of fullscreen games; we won't ship a version that has to inject code into games. Linux depends on demand from the waitlist.

How much will it cost?

The beta is free, and Plai will have a free version after the beta.

Will it get in the way of my game?

Plai is built to stay out of the way: a separate window on top, with clicks passing through while you read and focus handed back when you close it. It never hooks into the game itself. It's a lightweight native app written in Rust, designed to stay under 200 MB of memory even with several agents running and complex conversations on screen. Testing it across real games is part of the beta.

Do I need to change how I run my agents?

No. Keep using Codex, Claude Code and the others as you do now. The only exception is Antigravity CLI and Grok Code: to reply to them from the HUD, start the task from Plai.
